Leitner Wireless Headsets and RingCentral Softphone: Enabling Call Control
Use these instructions to enable your Leitner headset to answer your RingCentral calls simply by turning it on. If you have any questions, our friendly support team is here to help at 1-800-HEADSETS (432-3738)
Setting Up USB HID Device
To get remote answering, you will need to be on a version of RingCentral that has this ability. If you're following along and don't see what you should, you may need to update the firmware of RingCentral to get the extra bells and whistles. Here are the steps we will need!
1. Connect your Leitner headset to the computer using the provided USB cord or USB DECT dongle
2. Open up the RingCentral app and click "Settings" in the left navigation bar
3. Click on "Notifications and sounds"

5. Head to the "Headset Support" section and turn on "Headset Controls". A new window should pop up when activated
6. Go to the bottom of the page to "Connect your HID headsets" and click "Connect" or click on the button to turn it blue

8. If this is your first time doing this, confirm the request to connect your device to the RingCentral app
Once you get all this done, you should have remote answering up to 350ft away!
